Introduction to different categories of fungicides

Fungicide is a kind of pesticide that is popular in the agricultural market. Different fungicide products can treat different diseases and can be basically divided into the following four categories:

Type 1: Protective fungicide:

The main mode of action of the protective fungicide is to form a medicinal film on the surface of the plant after application, so that the germs cannot be infected. Such fungicides are particularly effective against airborne pathogens.

Category two: eradicating fungicides:

This kind of fungicides has a direct and strong killing effect on pathogenic bacteria, but plants cannot tolerate this kind of medicament during the plant growth period, so they can only be used for soil treatment, plant dormancy or seedling treatment before sowing.

Category 3: Therapeutic fungicide:

After the plant becomes infected, some non-systemic fungicides, such as sulfur, can be used to directly kill the bacteria, or a fungicide with internal osmosis can penetrate into the plant tissues to kill the bacteria, or use a systemic fungicide to directly enter In plants, it is a fungicide that acts as a therapeutic agent along with the transportation and conduction of plant body fluids.

Category 4: Anti-disease activator:

After this type of fungicide treats plants, the substance that induces disease resistance of the whole plant by identifying pathogenic bacteria is the plant's disease resistance activator. However, this kind of agent cannot directly show bactericidal activity. Instead, it resists the disease for a long time after being used for a few days, so it is not easy to develop resistance.
